Job Overview
Planning Engineer will support effective project execution through meticulous planning, scheduling and coordination. The role involves preparing project schedules, monitoring progress, identifying risks and ensuring resources are optimally utilized for timely and successful delivery of precast erection projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project schedules, work breakdown structures, and resource plans for precast projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, site teams, production, and logistics to align timelines and requirements.
- Track project progress against baseline schedules and highlight deviations.
- Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and forecasts for management and clients.
- Identify risks, bottlenecks, and delays, and suggest corrective actions.
- Ensure effective allocation and utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Assist in cost monitoring and ensure projects stay within approved budgets.
- Support tendering and estimation teams with project planning inputs.
- Maintain documentation of schedules, updates, and progress reports.
- Promote adherence to quality, safety, and organizational standards in project planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s / master’s degree in civil engineering
- 4–7 years of experience in planning for construction / precast projects.
- Proficiency in MS Project and other project planning tools.
- Strong analytical, coordination and reporting skills.
- Ability to work across multiple projects and travel to sites as required.
