Job Overview
Production Manager will lead and manage precast manufacturing operations at our factories. The role involves overseeing the full cycle of precast production, ensuring quality, safety, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery while effectively managing teams and resources.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage line managers and production supervisors; to meet production standards daily and act as a liaison between supervisors and upper management.
- Manage production standards, constraints and delays.
- Ensure all platforms receive required problem-solving solutions and labour, maintenance staff, concrete, consumables, rebar and other resources to maintain quality standards and schedule for all production processes.
- Ensure that production plans are completed according to schedule.
- Enforce a safe work environment on all platforms.
- Resolve issues and disputes between supervisors.
- Identify the need for corrective actions when quality or production or safety standards are not met.
- Communicate and ensure understanding of functional and departmental goals.
- Maintain reconciliation records of all materials being consumed in the factory in coordination with stores department, QA/QC department and supervisors. Provide weekly reports of the same to the factory manager.
- Hold weekly meetings with all factory staff and factory manager to setup a plan for the week and address any concerns and problems.
- Follow up with staff on a regular basis to make sure they can perform at their best.
- Responsible along with admin and security to track and maintain attendance of staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in precast/ready-mix/construction manufacturing, with at least 3+ years in a managerial role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Solid understanding of precast production, quality standards and equipment handling.
- Excellent planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment and handle multiple production lines.
