Job Overview
Safety Engineers will ensure a safe working environment across our precast factories and erection project sites. The role involves implementing safety systems, monitoring compliance, conducting training and ensuring all operations meet statutory and company safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and monitor safety procedures for both factory and project sites as per business requirements.
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal safety policies.
- Investigate incidents / accidents, prepare reports and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety drills and training programs for workers and staff.
- Oversee safe lifting, handling and erection of precast elements at project sites.
- Maintain safety documentation, records and compliance checklists.
- Coordinate with factory managers, project managers and site engineers to promote a safety-first culture.
- Liaise with external agencies, consultants and government bodies for safety compliance and certifications.
- Be willing to travel between factories and project sites as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s / Diploma in Engineering with specialization or certification in Industrial Safety (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in safety management (precast / construction / manufacturing).
- Strong knowledge of IS standards, EHS regulations and industry best practices.
- Excellent observation, reporting and communication skills.
- Ability to train and influence teams to follow safety practices.
- Flexibility to work at both factory and project site environments.
