Job Overview
Site Engineer will support day-to-day activities at precast erection sites. The role involves supervising site works, coordinating with teams, ensuring safety and quality standards, and assisting in timely project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the main adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, operatives and labour.
- Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications relevant to site works and guide workforce to execute works accordingly. Clarify any doubts with relevant persons.
- Oversee the selection and requisition of materials in coordination with procurement executive and quantity surveyor. Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with specifications.
- Implement company policies and procedures to ensure that work performance complies with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Plan the work and efficiently organise the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines in coordination with planning engineer.
- Identify and manage temporary housing requirements for site labour. Aggregate labour to handle all job site requirements.
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
- Coordinate with QA/QC team at site to ensure all work meets company quality standards.
- Generate and maintain all relevant reports such as DPR, DLR, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in construction / precast erection supervision.
- Good understanding of precast erection methods, drawings, and safety practices.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work at project sites across locations.
